Visitor Center Information

One of the best places in the world to experience prairie wildlife, especially during spring migration, is located in the Grand Island area along the Platte River:  The Wings Over the Platte Visitor Center located at I-80 Exit 305.  The Visitor Center will be open March 1 thru April 15 and offers plenty of information on where one is likely to see cranes throughout the Platter River Valley with self-guided driving tour maps, wildlife videos, and more!

All morning and evening blind tours and evening bridge tours will leave from the Visitor Center which will also have a concession area, wildlife displays and a GROW Nebraska gift shop!  The Visitor Center is run by all volunteers under the direction of the Grand Island/Hall County Convention & Visitors Bureau.
